Hello and thank you for asking. I am just now getting back to the board lol. I was pretty bummed for several days and wondered why I am spending so much energy on something that is causing so much trouble. But I sort of got a second wind over the weekend, did have a couple of nights that I kept it on all night and did sleep with it.
The weird part is that I was messing around with it trying to make the wind noise lessen and make the nose pillows fit better and when I turned it the backwards way it fit and sealed perfectly lol. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me but it worked lol. Anyhow I am experiencing a lot of irritation from friction in the nares. I have some cream sample they stuck in with the nose pillows. It says Derma cream on it and says no oils or petroleum and use for friction. I assume it is for the inside nose parts that are now so sore. But the DME told me nothing about it and there are no written instructions on the little tube or on the interface pamphlet either.
    Know anything about this?
I don't think using the CPAP for two nights, then having to leave it off for two nights to try and be less sore is going to be a plan I want to have to follow lol.
    thanks

I am glad you are seeing some improvement! That is great news! My sinuses were aggravated before I got the CPAP so of course they have been going nuts since then. I did get a humidifier to go with the CPAP. Initially our insurance wouldn't cover it until I proved I needed it. Oh my I was dried out the first several nights lol. I do use it every night and keep it fairly high.
And I use a saline nasal spray too. I am hoping I will get used to the friction in the nares. I have gotten some decent sleep with it, but I'd like to be able to use it every night.
This particular nose pillows interface is sealing better the past several nights. The first few nights the whistling and wind in my face nearly drove me nuts lol. I have turned the Elephant Trunk to run upwards over my head instead of down and that seems to be less irritating.
This interface, I have learned, is a Snapp-X Tiara.
        thanks

I have had two better nights in a row with my nose pillows. Not enough sleep but kept the interface on all night and didn't seem like the nares were as sore and irritated. I felt a bit better today after the less disturbed sleep and it gives me hope that the CPAP can work out for me!
          thanks

I do now have some hope that the CPAP can work for me. By the middle of that second week I was losing hope quickly lol. I had another night of keeping it on all night and slept longer too without the constant disturbances.
I am using a cream that came with the interface -- Dermal Cream -- inside the nares. Heard of it? The little tube doesn't give much instruction, just says it is for irritated skin and has no pertroleum products.
I left a message Monday for my DME, saying I had some questions I hoped he could help me with. He has not responded. Is this pretty typical once you take home a machine that they can bill the insurance for that they do not give a top priority to contacting you?
              thanks

i never used the cream..my pillows didn't come with it..

hey if it works..that is what is important..

you could try using it during the day...put it on in the am...it will be gonzo by evening..

glad to hear of progress... keep going..
