first post here...
I have no clue how long I have had sleep apnea, but I had my first sleep test back in December and was put on a CPAP machine in January.
Sleeping with the mask and hose wasn't too tough to get used to, but it just seemed not to make a big difference for me. So many people with apnea tell me that using the machine was like night and day for them. For me it was more like night and evening.
So, the doctor wants me re-tested and on a bi-PAP machine. He figures they will increase pressure and the CPAP at a higher pressure would be difficult.
Wish me luck.

First of all, Good Luck!
The BiPap will make higher pressures easier to handle because it will lower the pressure when it senses you have completely your inhalation part of each breath cycle.
I am really glad to hear it wasn't so difficult for you to get accustomed to using your Cpap. If you read some of the posts from others, that is not always the case. So - kudos!!!!
Out of curiosity, what prompted you to get a sleep study done?
Peace.
