Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System

I have been on the Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System for over a week now. I really like this mask over the others that I have used. I have gotten use to the pressure going straight into my nose. Also, I cannot say it enough; what a simple pleasure it is to be able to itch your nose or have a drink of water without having to take off the mask in the middle of the night...ah, the simple things.

I feel like I am getting a better night’s sleep. I am not waking up to the noise made from my old mask or having to readjust it because it is leaking into my eye. The day time sleepiness has yet to go away, but I have high hopes. A couple of days ago, I slept through out the night without waking up once…well, I don’t remember waking up at all. I cannot remember the last time I slept that well. It was a wonderful thing. Plus, I did feel much more alert the next morning. I am hoping to have more nights like that.

My only negative comment I have about this mask is that the hose attaches to the side of the nasal pillow rather than in the middle, like most of the other masks. If you sleep on your back or on one side, it is no big deal. The hose will attach to either side of the mask, but if you are like me, a tosser and tuner, the hose will get in the way, but not to the point of keeping awake. It is just a matter making space for it around your pillow.

This is a great mask.

Lee..you will get use to the way the hose attaches..cause it swivels..pretty well

I use the Mirage...cause..there is no way ..I could sleep with one of those masks...sucked onto my face

I do have some tenderness on the nostrils..sometimes..probably from the suction..on there..

but it is not too bad...

my biggest problem...continues to be drymouth.. but even that..I seem to be getting use to it..

but I do ..rip the mask off during the night..at one point..but..have no memory..of when I do it..

some nights..I make it all night!
